Virender Sehwag will be fit to face England in India's second World Cup Group B match despite suffering a minor rib injury in the nets on Friday.
India's dashing opener, who began the tournament by smashing a career-best 175 against Bangladesh in last Sunday's opening match, was hit while batting during his team's practice.
Team manager Ranjib Biswal described it as merely a "precautionary measure" that Sehwag took no further part in the nets session. It was later confirmed he has suffered only very minor bruising and is expected to be fit to play on Sunday.
His team-mate Yuvraj Singh, who took a blow to his hand in practice on Thursday, has also been passed fit to take on England.
